great_wall_of_china_steps The Paul Sartori Foundation is Pembrokeshire’s only Hospice at Home Service, providing hands on care and equipment loan services to people living in the final stages of a life limiting illness. Our services are available free of charge, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. These service are financially supported, mainly, by the generosity of the people of Pembrokeshire who volunteer and support us with kind donations.

To help us raise vital funds for next year we are organising an exciting challenge for expert and novice walkers alike.  We are hoping to enrol 35 – 40 participants to take part in this adventure of a lifetime. Each participant will be asked to raise £3100  making at least £50,000.00 net 8martyn%20harrisprofit for the Foundation in total.

We will trek across parts of one of the Seven Wonders of the World, The Great Wall of China. The great wall has to be the ultimate building project the world has ever known; constructed by human hands over 2000 years ago, it stretches across this hilly region with long spurs and watch-towers often disappearing into the mists.

Our trek is very varied, as we pass through woodland and terraced farmland, and follow the contours of the beautiful hills and mountains in remote areas north of Beijing. We follow old sections of the Great Wall, as well as restored sections with smooth flagstones and lots of steps! Attached is the itinerary to give you a taster of this amazing, once in a life time challenge:

This challenge is physically demanding and offers fabulous scenery and a fascinating insight into a rich culture and history.
