IF YOU HAVE A SKILL AND TIME ON YOUR HANDS WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU

Knitters and those good at Crochet

Charity knitters meet every Wednesday morning in Janes,  Coffee Shop,Fishguard. The group has been set up to attract like minded knitters and provides an opportunity to give support to the bereaved and those actively living with a terminal illness and carers of the terminally ill.   The group welcomes people of all ages , male and female, it is  lively and  friendly and extends a warm welcome to new members. Individuals can bring along their own knitting or can knit items to raise funds for the local Hospice at Home Charity, Paul Sartori Foundation. “ We recognise that the timing of the group meeting may not suit everyone and if anyone is keen to join the group we can organise another session to reach those who may be working – it would be wonderful to have two sessions operating.  We are keen to expand the knitting support groups across the county and would like to be contacted from anyone else who has an interest.” Said Lorna Johns, Hospice Director. To join the group drop into Janes on Wednesday mornings around 10.30am or phone 01437 763223.

The Fishknits Label

We have individuals across the county who are busy making hand crafted goods, cloth bags, peg bags- most of these items are made from the material donated to our Sartori Stores.

All the hand made crafts are labelled with our Fishknits tag – unique to Paul Sartori Foundation.  These items can be purchased through any of uor stores and also in the corridor at Withybush General Hospital every Wednesday – break during the month of August  – starts again in September.

We want to hear from more people who can make items for us – even though you cannot get to a venue – we are keen to build up a network of crafters.

Hand Made Cards

If you love making cards for any occasion and want to give something back to your favourite charity then please give us a call.  We can never have enough of hand made cards and people just love buying them.

Baking

Everyone loves home made cakes and savouries including preserves and pickles.  If you have the time and the skill then baking and selling to raise funds for the hospice is another way you can help.
